Yoo Hee-Jung (Ha Ji-Won) is the daughter of Chairman Yoo who owns multiple hotel properties. She has a deep emotional scar from a scuba diving incident in which her then boyfriend drowned in order to save her life. With her background studies in Hotel Management (studies in Switzerland), she begins learning about her father’s business.
Yoo Soo-Jung (Yoon Hae-Young) is Hee-Jung’s musically talented sister who is a renown piano player. Soo-Jung is suffering from cancer and has managed to keep it a secret from all of her family and friends. Oh Choon-Goo (Jung Bo-Suk) is Soo-Jung’s childhood friend who has now become a big shot gangster. Although Choon-Goo has feelings for Soo-Jung, he decides not to pursue her out of respect for his friend, Nam Jung-Woo (Yoo Joon-Sang), who also has feelings for her. Choon-Goo also believes Soo-Jung will be better off with a teacher (Jung Woo) than a gangster (himself).
One day, Chairman Yoo decides to build a resort town for tourists in a poor province. As he attempts to dismantle the resident’s town against their will, he is suddenly confronted by a gangster by the name of Lee Jae-Min (Kim Rae-Won), Jae-Min, who has an uncanny resemblance to Hee-Jung’s dead boyfriend, is unwilling to let Chairman Yoo take over his hometown. When Hee-Jung returns to Korea to help her father’s business, she meets Jae-Min and falls madly in love with him. As Hee-Jung finds herself getting involved with Jae-Min, she begins fighting against her father’s will to bring justice to the poor residents.
