This light and refreshing drama is about exactly what the title reflects – your golden years. Each of the characters are bottled up in a certain role, job, or love affair, and can’t seem to move past that hurdle. However, they soon realize that there is more to life than what they are currently facing.
Lee Geum (Lee So-Yun) is a clumsy yet fierce coach for a women’s track team. If she isn’t too busy fighting injustice over a bad call, she is taking care of an elder at a nearby hospital, even giving her entire savings to help keep him safe. While her life is busy enough as it is, in order to raise money to keep her grandfather in the hospital she ends up going on a blind date on behalf of a friend for $100. Lo and behold she realizes that her blind date is someone she’s actually met before, over an argument! As you may expect the situation gets complicated…
While Geum is managing her work and love life, characters such as Lee Hwang (Moon So-Ri) are trying to juggle a love affair, daughter, and her husband!
These are only two examples of the many obstacles and challeneges each of the characters face. Amidst everyone’s busy lives this drama will try to emphasize on the importance of our golden years and what we are doing to make the most of it!
