Ha Hye-Kyung (Kang Sung-Yun) is the daughter of a gangster leader. She has a doctoral degree in English and teaches as a part-time college lecturer. Aside from her intellectual brain power, she is a skilled martial artist with knowledge of Taekwondo, Judo, and King Fu.
Lee Dong-Ki (Ahn Jae-Mo) is one of the members of Hye-Kyung’s father’s gang. Unfortunately, after being accused of raping Hye-Kyung, he is forced to live as a fugitive. He decides that the only way to gain peace with the gang is to capture Hye-Kyung’s heart and prove to them he is not guilty of rape.
Yoo Ho-Min (Ryu Shi-Won), aka “Michael”, is a practicing monk who works as an assistant librarian at a monastery. He works alongside Hye-Kyung and begins developing an attraction to her. Although he initially views Dong-Ki as his competitor to win Hye-Kyung’s heart, the two of them eventually become friends. What will happen to the peculiar relationship between Hye-Kyung, Ho-Min, and Dong-Ki?
