Star's Lovers

What if everyone is destined to have a soulmate? Another “half” of you that you are supposed to meet one day, but through fate or other opposite forces in life you miss the opportunity or better yet, delay it? The opening scene of this fresh, romantic drama connects two people one by one, except for Kim Chul-Soo (Yoo Ji-Tae) and Lee Mari (Choi Ji-Woo). Instead of a happily ever after story, the two end up leading very different yet (ironically) similar lives.

Chul-Soo is abandoned twice. Once by his father and another time by his own mother. Having to take care of his younger sister, Chul-Soo struggles to lead a good example for his only remaining family member by living toward strict and disciplined standards for himself. His dream is to become a writer famous for his literary works, but he puts his dreams aside to support his family and becomes an Assistant Professor. However, his family continues to struggle and in order to make ends meet he goes against all of his moral values and agrees with Lee Mari’s CEO to be the real author behind one of her upcoming books! It is during this time he first comes into contact with Lee Mari.

While Mari is known to be a heart-breaker of sorts, she will come to realize there is something within Chul-Soo that is so familiar…even though they come from different backgrounds. Could he be the person representing the little boy in her dreams? From a distant, but real memory she once lived in her own childhood?

Are these two destined to be together?
