When Spring Comes

Lee Jung-Do (Park Gun-Hyung) is a college graduate whose only goal in life is to pass the law exams and become a prosecutor. Ironically, his father happens to be a con-man who has recently finished his jail sentence and been released. Although Jung-Do has not yet passed the law exams, he pretends to be the neighborhood prosecutor and peacefully resolves disputes between neighbors.

One day, Jung-Do meets a young girl named Moon Chae-Ri (Lee Ha-Na) at the subway station. Chae-Ri is an aspiring musician who performs small cons to survive. When Jung-Do leans down to help Chae-Ri pick up her handkerchief, she bumps her butt into Jung-Do’s face and screams, “Sexual Harassment!” Right at this moment, a tom-boy cop named Oh Young-Joo (Park Shi-Yun) comes to the scene and puts Jung-Do in a head-lock before handing him over to the guards. A shocked Jung-Do eventually escapes and tells Chae-Ri to straighten up her life. To his dismay, she simply kicks him in the shin and runs off again!

Later that evening, Jung-Do is riding his bike home when a handsome young-man Kim Joon-Ki (Lee Han) nearly hits him with his car. Joon-Ki is the son of a wealthy business owner who also plans to become a prosecutor. Joon-Ki steps out of his car and confidently tells Jung-Do that he is legally at fault. To his surprise, Jung-Do is able to negate his arguments and point out the reasons Joon-Ki should be at fault!

As the drama progresses, Jung-Do becomes a prosecutor in the same law firm as Joon-Ki. Joon-Ki handles each of his cases quickly and efficiently thinking only from a legal standpoint, while Jung-Do patiently considers his client’s needs and does whatever it takes to seek justice. At the same time, a dramatic love triangle forms as Jung-Do pursues Chae-Ri, Joon-Ki pursues Young-Joo, but with Young-Joo secretly liking Jung-Do. To further complicate things, Jung-Do begins working on a case involving criminal acts related to Joon-Ki’s father’s company! As Jung-Do gets close to the center of the scandal, Joon-Ki’s father devises a sinister plan to frame Jung-Do’s ex-con father in hopes of expelling Jung-Do from the law firm.
